Primary schools introduce weaving and colour to the curriculum

Over the last four years, Malcolm the Weaver children’s education project has delivered books to over 6,000 Primary Schools around the UK, as well as in Germany, France, America, Asia, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.

We have had wonderful endorsements and letters of thanks from supporters such as Joanna Lumley, David Walliams, Selina Scott, The Marquis of Bute, Sir David Attenborough, and Her Majesty the Queen.

Malcolm the Weaver reaches out!

Regular readers of this blog will be familiar with SDC’s Malcolm the Weaver project includes the books Weaver of a Life in Colour and The Rainbow that Mixed Colours and The Moon that Shone Dark. The project has had a very busy and successful few months. Written by SDC member Malcolm Campbell CCol FSDC and published by the SDC, the books have been kindly sponsored by organisations including The Cotton Industry War Memorial Trust, Coates Foundation, PLC, VP PLC and Hainsworths. This has seen over 1,000 books going directly to schools, encouraging young readers to start their colour education.
