Daniel Matthews, a final year Surface Design student at Huddersfield University has won the UK final of the SDC International Design Competition. He goes forward to the grand final which will be held in China later this year.
The UK final took place as part of Material World, held at the Houses of Parliament in London. This prestigious event had been fully booked for several weeks and brought together MPs and Lords, alongside academia and industry, to highlight and discuss the challenges and opportunities for the textile industry in the UK. It included several keynote speakers.
