The grand final of the SDC International Design Competition 2015 takes place in November at the Fashion and Textile Museum in London. We are delighted to present our finalists from around the world, all of whom have won the regional heat in their own country. The competition is open to fashion and textile design undergraduates in participating countries.

Pat Hardcastle reports on this London region event which took place at London College of Fashion earlier this year.
This event, organised by SDC’s London region and hosted jointly with The Textile Institute London region was attended by 65 people from industry, retail, education and students. Ian Smith, the chair of SDC London opened by welcoming the delegates. He then introduced Dr Graham Clayton, CEO of the SDC and chair of the event.
Colour is recognised as one of the most important aspects of the design of any product. London College of Fashion (LCF), a world leading fashion and design college, hosted the annual “World of Colour” event in partnership with the London Region of Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC). Four of the UK’s leading colour specialists and drivers of today’s global high street fashion and sales markets, shared important insights into the art and science of colour selection, manufacture and branding.
